Trip Cancellation Policy and Terms

Cancellations must be submitted in writing or by email to the office of Adventures in Tanzania that confirmed the booking. A cancellation will only be considered valid from the date it is received in writing by the booking office.

If a client cancels a booking, the following cancellation fees will apply:
For Wildlife Safaris and Kilimanjaro Climbing Trips:

45 days or more before the start of the trip – No cancellation fees

30 to 25 days before the start of the trip – 50% of the total trip cost will be charged

25 to 15 days before the start of the trip – 75% of the total trip cost will be charged

14 to 1 day before the start of the trip – 100% of the total trip cost will be charged

Changing travel dates at any time – Free of charge

In some cases, stricter cancellation rules may apply. For services such as accommodation and transfers only, we may be able to offer a partial refund depending on the actual costs incurred—provided that we are notified at least 14 days before the start of the trip.

We shall not be held liable for any loss or expenses arising from the loss of property, trip cancellation, or reduction of the tour duration.

If illness or accident interrupts a trip, we will not be responsible for any costs incurred, unless the client falls ill during the trip. In that case, we will assist in ensuring they receive appropriate medical care—provided the client agrees to be treated at one of our affiliated hospitals in either Moshi or Arusha.

We strongly advise clients and travelers to purchase travel insurance to protect themselves against such unforeseen circumstances.
